Diesel Price Cut to Ease Inflation Pressure

High speed diesel is widely used in:

    • Trucks and buses
    • used in Trains
    • used in Agricultural machinery (tractor, tube wells, threshers)

A reduction in HSD price is considered non-inflationary as diesel costs directly impact transport fares and food prices especially vegetables and essential commodities.

Despite a previous Rs9 per liter cut transport fares have not been reduced after a Rs27 per liter hike between May and August.
