Experts believe that Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 is likely to fall on 21 March 2026 as Pakistan are expected to complete 30 days of Ramadan this year.

To facilitate traveller during the festive season Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of four special Eid trains for passengers to travel to their hometowns.
The schedule for the special trains includes:
- 16 March 2026 Train from Lahore to Karachi
- 17 March 2026 Train from Quetta to Rawalpindi
- 17 March 2026 Train from Karachi to Peshawar
- 18 March 2026 Train from Karachi to Lahore
A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways stated that the special train operation aimed to manage the increase in passenger traffic before Eid and ensure safe, comfortable and timely travel during the busy holiday period.
