    وفاقی حکومت نے عوام کے لیے عید سے قبل بجلی کے بلوں میں اضافی فکسڈ چارجز شامل کر دیے ہیں، جن کی وصولی فروری کے بلوں سے شروع کر دی گئی ہے۔ حکام کے مطابق یہ چارجز پروٹیکٹڈ اور نان پروٹیکٹڈ دونوں اقسام کے صارفین پر لاگو ہوں گے۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق پروٹیکٹڈ صارفین کے لیے 100 یونٹ تک ماہانہ استعمال پر 200 روپے جبکہ 200 یونٹ استعمال کرنے والوں پر 300 روپے فکسڈ چارجز مقرر کیے گئے ہیں۔ اسی طرح نان پروٹیکٹڈ صارفین کے لیے 100 یونٹ تک استعمال پر 275 روپے ماہانہ چارجز وصول کیے جا رہے ہیں، جبکہ 200 یونٹ تک کے صارفین پر 300 روپے فکسڈ چارجز عائد کیے گئے ہیں۔

    Charges for protected consumers

    Protected domestic consumers using up to 100 units per month will now pay an additional fixed charge of Rs200. Those consuming up to 200 units per month under the protected category will be charged an extra Rs300 monthly.

    Charges for non-protected consumers

    Non-protected consumers using up to 100 units per month will face an additional fixed charge of Rs275. For those consuming up to 200 units per month, the fixed charges have been set at Rs300 and Rs350, depending on the consumption bracket.

    Officials said the new fixed charges apply to both protected and non-protected consumers. For protected consumers, the monthly fixed charge is set at Rs 200 for up to 100 units of consumption and Rs 300 for up to 200 units.

    Higher charges for increased consumption

    The government has also revised fixed charges for higher consumption categories. For non-protected consumers using 500 units per month, fixed charges have been increased by Rs100 to Rs500.

    Similarly, consumers using 600 units per month will now pay Rs675 in fixed charges, reflecting an increase of Rs75.
