Federal Minister for Finance, Muhammad Aurangzeb, has announced a targeted subsidy program on petroleum products to provide relief to specific segments of society affected by rising fuel prices in Pakistan.

Subsidy for Motorcyclists
The government has decided to support motorcyclists by offering a subsidy of Rs. 100 per liter on up to 20 liters of petrol per month.

To assist the agricultural sector, particularly small landowners, the government will provide a one-time subsidy of Rs. 1,500 per acre.
This initiative is expected to reduce production costs and support rural livelihoods.
وفاقی وزیر خزانہ محمد اورنگزیب نے پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کے حوالے سے ٹارگٹڈ سبسڈی پروگرام کا اعلان کر دیا۔ وزیر خزانہ محمد اورنگزیب کا کہنا تھا کہ موٹر سائیکل سواروں کو ہر ماہ 20 لیٹر پیٹرول پر 100 روپے سبسڈی دی جائے گی جبکہ سبسڈی کا دورانیہ 3 ماہ ہوگا۔ وزیر خزانہ کا کہنا تھا کہ چھوٹے زمینداروں کو 1500 روپے فی ایکٹر ایک بار سبسڈی دی جائے گی جبکہ مال بردار گاڑیوں کو بھی 100 روپے فی لیٹر سبسڈی ملے گی۔ وفاقی وزیر خزانہ نے ٹرکوں کیلئے 70 ہزار روپے جبکہ بڑی گاڑیوں کیلئے 80 ہزار روپے ماہانہ سبسڈی کا اعلان کیا۔ مسافر بسوں کیلئے ایک لاکھ روپے ماہانہ سبسڈی کا اعلان کیا گیا
محمد اورنگزیب کا کہنا تھا کہ سبسڈی کے فیصلے پر اگلے ماہ نظرثانی کریں گے، وفاقی حکومت ریلوے کو بھی سبسڈی دے گی
Relief for Transport Sector
The transport industry will also benefit from multiple subsidy measures:
- Freight vehicles will receive Rs. 100 per liter subsidy
- Truck owners will get Rs. 70,000 per month
- Large vehicles will be given Rs. 80,000 per month
- Passenger buses will receive Rs. 100,000 per month
These steps are aimed at controlling rising transportation costs and preventing fare hikes.

Railway Sector Inclusion
The finance minister also confirmed that Pakistan Railways will be included in the subsidy framework, ensuring broader support for the country’s transportation infrastructure.
