Reasons Behind the LPG Price Hike

OGRA explain that LPG prices are mainly determined by two key factors:

  • Saudi Aramco Contract Prices (CP)
  • US dollar exchange rate

For January 2026 the Saudi Aramco CP increased by 6.74%, which played a major role in pushing prices upward. Although the average US dollar exchange rate slightly declined by 0.14% this minor relief was not enough to offset the sharp rise in international LPG prices.
