Pakistan Plans New Eco Friendly Deep Sea Ports

Pakistan Plans New Eco-Friendly Deep-Sea Ports to develop three to four new deep-sea ports as part of its long term strategy to strengthen trade and logistics and maritime infrastructure Federal Minister for Maritime Affair Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said on Wednesday 31 December 2025.
The initiative aims to reduce the pressure on existing ports while preparing the country for future trade demand and especially Pakistan seeks to expand its role in regional and international shipping routes.

According to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Pakistan’s major ports are expected to face capacity constraints in the coming years.
