    Brahui Culture of Pakistan 

    The Brahui culture of Pakistan is one of the oldest and most unique beautiful cultural identities in South Asia which is Centered mainly in Balochistan and the Brahui people have preserved their traditions, language and way of life for centuries despite modern influences that is Known for their strong tribal values, simple lifestyle and deep respect for nature and the Brahui community represents an important part of Pakistan’s cultural diversity.

    Origin and Location of Brahui People

    The Brahui people are primarily found in central and northeastern Balochistan including areas such as Kalat, Khuzdar, Mastung and Nushki and the Small Brahui communities also live in Sindh, Iran and Afghanistan. One of the most interesting facts about the Brahui people is their language which belongs to the Dravidian language family and not to Indo Iranian languages like most Pakistani languages. This makes Brahui linguistically different and historically significant.

    The Brahui language is a major marker of identity and most Brahui people are bilingual speaking Brahui along with Balochi or Urdu.     Brahui men usually wear Shalwar kameez with wide sleeves and Turbans or caps or leather sandals.

    Women traditionally wear beautiful Embroidered long dresses with Heavy jewelry made of silver and beads and wear Colorful scarves and shawls

    Female clothing is known for its beautiful mirror work and geometric designs that represent tribal identity.

    Brahui Food and Cuisine

    Brahui cuisine is simple ,tasty and healthy and sourced mainly from livestock and farming. Popular dishes include:
